What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring the following items with you:
⦁ GP referral letter, including any X-rays, scans, or test results
⦁ Records of any previous surgery
⦁ A current list of medications
⦁ Medicare details
⦁ Private health insurance details (if applicable)
How much will it cost?
⦁ Telehealth consultations are bulk billed.
⦁ Face-to-face consultations are not bulk billed.
⦁ Some centres charge a non-refundable $50 booking fee.
Consultation fees:
⦁ Initial consultation: $250 (Medicare rebate: $86)
⦁ Subsequent consultations: $120 (Medicare rebate: $43)
Fees may be discounted for aged pensioners and at the doctor’s discretion.
Fees for all procedures will be discussed and advised at the time of booking.
Where will I have my surgery or endoscopy procedure?
Endoscopy procedures are performed at one of the following facilities:
⦁ Westmead Private Hospital
⦁ Holroyd Private Hospital
⦁ The Sydney Private Hospital
⦁ Campsie Day Surgery Private
⦁ Waratah Private Hospital
Smaller procedures are performed at Day Stay facilities, with large operations performed at Hospitals with overnight facilities.
